The Music Composition and Technology faculty at UWM are recognized composers, working in both acoustic and electroacoustic music. Our compositional output is broad in scope, with compositions for orchestra and large ensembles, chamber ensembles, and soloists, along with innovative technology-based algorithmic, motion capture, and interactive improvisation works.
Composition students develop strong relationships with their professors through lessons, music technology courses, student-faculty performance ensembles, and faculty-directed research projects.
